I love the concept of defaults. It’s pragmatic and creative. It leaves room for flexibility and provides a structure for growth. It encourages innovation when you have time and knowledge (and find yourself asking questions).

Sometimes, I feel like I’m swimming through that residue. The schemas I’m holding need focused and sustained attention, and the cludgy remnants of previous mental states and distractions make the thinking I enjoy turn into thinking that is exhausting (and poorly done).
